Genna Rebecca Martinez was a kind and compassionate soul with a passion for life. Genna loved helping others - if you needed her, she would always be there.
In December of 2014, at the age of 19, Genna was killed in a car accident.
About Genna:
Genna was born on February 18, 1995 to loving parents Luis and Tami Martinez. In 1998, the family of 3 was joined by younger sister Gabrielle Martinez.
Genna was a Connetquot T-Bird. She attended Sycamore Avenue Elementary School, Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School, and graduated from Connetquot High School in 2013.
Throughout her life, Genna pitched on a number of softball teams. In high school, she was also on the Varsity Field Hockey team. When she was not on the field, she was out with friends, laughing and living her life - always the best dressed! She was the perfect balance of stylish, sweet, and sporty.
Genna attended Nassau Community College's fashion program, and was getting ready to start an internship in the fashion industry the following year.
Genna's family and friends have created this memorial foundation in her name to continue spreading love and kindness to others.
